Father of Missing Woman Dies Amid Search for Daughter

Ryan Kobayashi, 58, tragically passed away on November 24 after taking his own life near LAX. His death occurred during a two-week search for his missing daughter, 30-year-old Hannah Kobayashi, who disappeared after missing her flight from Los Angeles to New York.

Ryan’s niece, Emi Ko, started a GoFundMe to support his fiancée and family, describing him as “a truly remarkable person” who endured “his absolute worst nightmare” after Hannah’s disappearance. The Kobayashi family continues to search for Hannah, who was last seen at LAX on November 11. Disturbing text messages from Hannah indicated she was scared and financially manipulated, raising concerns about her safety.

Hannah’s sister, Sydni, also launched a fundraiser to cover search costs, including transportation, supplies, and awareness campaigns. She pleaded, “Let’s bring my sister home safely.”

The family urges anyone with information to contact LAPD. Amid heartbreak, they continue to seek answers, hoping to reunite with Hannah while mourning Ryan’s loss.
