Steve Walton, a wealthy man, is shocked to learn that his estranged daughter, Susan, and her four children have been living in a car for years. Their reunion, facilitated by Pastor Morris, leads to a heartfelt reconciliation.
Steve had disowned Susan at sixteen for marrying a poor man. Years later, Pastor Morris reveals to Steve that Susan is now homeless, living in a car with her children after her husband’s death. Shocked and remorseful, Steve immediately flies to Los Angeles to find them. When they meet, Steve is heartbroken to see how much Susan has suffered. He pleads, “Forgive me, Susan. Please forgive me.”
Despite years of hardship, Susan forgives her father, and they reconcile. Susan and her children, including her son Stevie, named after his grandfather, return to Texas with Steve, beginning a new chapter in their lives together.
