Mila, a determined 12-year-old, dreamed of becoming a mathematician despite her family’s struggles. Her mother, Clara, worked tirelessly as a seamstress to support them, and Mila spent her long bus rides home studying hard, hoping to earn a scholarship.

One cold evening, Mila noticed an elderly woman asleep on the bus. When the bus reached its last stop, Mila woke the woman, who was confused and lost. Though Mila risked missing her own bus home, she chose to help the woman find her grandson’s house.
After a long, cold walk, they finally arrived. The woman’s grandson, relieved and grateful, thanked Mila for her kindness. Mila then faced a difficult, lonely walk home, arriving late to find her mother anxiously waiting.

The next morning, Mila received a letter from the grandson, who turned out to be a wealthy businessman. Moved by her selflessness, he offered her a full scholarship to a prestigious school.
