A Lawyer and a Senior Citizen on a Plane
On a long flight, a lawyer sits next to an elderly man. Thinking he can easily outsmart him, the lawyer proposes a game. Initially, the senior declines, wanting to nap. However, the lawyer insists, explaining, “I ask you a question, and if you don’t know the answer, you pay me only $5. Then you ask me one, and if I don’t know the answer, I will pay you $500.” Intrigued, the senior agrees.
The lawyer asks, “What’s the distance from the Earth to the Moon?” The senior, without a word, hands him $5.
Next, the senior asks, “What goes up a hill with three legs and comes down with four?” The lawyer searches everywhere for an answer but eventually gives up and pays the senior $500.
Still curious, the lawyer asks, “What goes up a hill with three legs and comes down with four?” The senior quietly hands him another $5 and returns to sleep.
