Little Johnny Asked A Lot Of Questions To His Teacher

Curious Johnny

Little Johnny, a seventh-grader, often bombarded his teacher with questions. One day, he asked his English teacher, “Why do we ignore some letters in pronunciation, like the letter H in ‘hour’ and ‘honour’?” His teacher responded, “We are not ignoring them; they’re considered silent.” This left Johnny even more confused.

Lunch Break Misunderstanding

During lunch, Johnny’s teacher handed him her packed lunch and asked him to heat it in the cafeteria. Instead, Johnny ate all the food and returned the empty container to his teacher.

Teacher’s Surprise

Surprised, the teacher asked, “What happened? I told you to go and HEAT my food. You are returning me an empty container.” Johnny replied, “Madam, I thought ‘H’ was silent.”

A Dedication

This amusing incident is dedicated to all English teachers.
