Douglas-Zeta-Jones Family’s Heartfelt Public Appearance
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, along with their son Dylan, attended the premiere of “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” on February 7, 2023. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dylan expressed pride in his parents’ achievements, highlighting their dual roles as both actors and parents.
Dylan’s admiration for his parents was evident as he spoke warmly about them: “I’m very, very proud, they’re great actors, both Academy Award-winning actors, but they’re great parents and that’s a side that not everyone gets to see but I get to see every day in and out.”
However, Dylan’s gum-chewing during the interview sparked criticism on social media. Comments ranged from suggestions about manners to jokes about finishing his dinner before appearing at public events.
Despite the backlash, Michael Douglas affirmed his son’s upbringing, stating, “They’re not spoiled or obnoxious. They’re well-mannered, confident, and pretty worldly.”
Douglas also opened up about parenting, emphasizing his deep bond with his children and how their love for each other fosters a judgment-free environment. He mentioned Dylan’s dyslexia and how they’ve addressed it by enrolling him in a specialized school, underscoring the family’s commitment to supporting each other through challenges.
