World famous TikToker Khaby Lame ‘breaks silence’

Italian-born TikTok star Khaby Lame has spoken out after being briefly detained in the U.S. amid President Donald Trump’s intensified immigration crackdown. Trump recently expanded Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) efforts as part of his large-scale deportation plan, including a target of 3,000 arrests per day. As a result, many immigrants, including those who overstayed visas, have been detained. ICE confirmed that Lame, 25, was detained at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on June 6 for overstaying his visa since entering the U.S. on April 30. He was granted voluntary departure and has since left the country.

Despite the incident, Lame returned to social media on June 7 without directly addressing his detainment. Instead, he shared a cheerful photo with actor Will Smith at the premiere of Bad Boys: Ride or Die. The image, originally posted by Smith, shows the pair smiling on the red carpet. In his caption, Lame expressed gratitude for being part of the film event, writing: “Wow, what a great experience! Thank you for letting me be part of your movie.”
