Trump sparks bizarre time traveller theory after people spot disturbing detail in 1800s book

Some conspiracy theorists believe Donald Trump and his family might be “time travelers” based on a strange coincidence involving a 19th-century children’s book. In 1893, writer and lawyer Ingersoll Lockwood published Baron Trump’s Marvelous Underground Journey, which follows a wealthy boy named Baron who lives in “Castle Trump” and is guided by a mentor named Don Fum. The similarities between this fictional character and Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, have raised eyebrows — particularly given the resemblance in names and Barron’s real-life wealthy background. The book even takes Baron on an adventure to Russia, which many see as another uncanny link.

Lockwood also wrote another book titled The Last President, which describes political unrest, a New York outsider becoming president, and the involvement of a figure named Pence — details some believe mirror Donald Trump’s presidency. The novel describes chaos on Fifth Avenue, where Trump Tower stands today, and references government secrets and upheaval. While many dismiss the theory as coincidence, others argue the overlaps are too numerous to ignore. The strange parallels have sparked renewed fascination online, with some users humorously comparing it to the plot of Back to the Future.
