Sweet meaning behind Prince Archie’s middle

Meghan Markle recently shared the meaning behind her son Archie’s name on her lifestyle series With Love, Meghan. She and Prince Harry carefully chose the names of their children, Archie and Lilibet. While “Archie” means “bold” or “brave,” his middle name “Harrison” sweetly translates to “son of Harry.” Although not expected by bookmakers before his birth, Archie’s name was well-received and reflects both British and American influences. Joe Little from Majesty magazine noted that the couple wanted to choose names that were unique and personal.

Meghan also opened up about the significance of their family surname. Although their children were originally given the Mountbatten-Windsor surname, the family now uses “Sussex” after Harry and Meghan’s royal titles. Meghan said the shared family name became deeply meaningful after they had children. Reflecting on motherhood, she expressed joy in rediscovering herself as a woman and mother as her kids grow older. Despite her new polished image, Meghan clarified she doesn’t see herself as a “tradwife” but enjoys blending tradition and modernity, even in small gestures like plating takeout beautifully. Her show features celebrity guests and emphasizes doing things with care and love.
