Pippa Middleton broke major rule at Wimbledon and was refused entry into Royal Box with Kate

Wimbledon has officially returned, bringing with it sunny days, strawberries and cream, Pimms, and a wave of celebrity sightings at the iconic Royal Box.

The prestigious London tennis event began earlier this week, and famous faces have already been spotted in the exclusive seating area, which has hosted VIP guests since 1922.

The Royal Box is reserved for members of the Royal Family, international dignitaries, tennis elites, key sponsors, major media figures, and well-known supporters of British tennis.

This year, stars like Olivia Rodrigo, Tom Daley, Eddie Redmayne, and Princess Beatrice have been seen enjoying matches from the best seats in the house.

However, even top-tier celebrities can be denied entry if they don’t follow Wimbledon’s strict dress and timing rules. In 2015, Lewis Hamilton missed the men’s final after showing up late and without a tie, violating the dress code.

Pippa Middleton and her mother, Carole, were also denied Royal Box access in 2017 for arriving late to Andy Murray’s match. They were seated behind the box instead but still appeared to enjoy the event.

Even Meghan Markle was reportedly turned away one year for wearing blue jeans, which go against the Royal Box’s smart dress code. Women are also advised not to wear hats, as they can block others’ view of the court.
