Melania Trump’s Visa Has People Calling President A ‘Hypocrite’ Over Immigration Campaign

Melania Trump’s visa has come under scrutiny, with critics accusing Donald Trump of hypocrisy over his immigration policies. The issue reignited after questions were raised about the former first lady’s immigration status.

During a House Judiciary Committee hearing on June 25, Texan Representative Jasmine Crockett challenged the Trump administration for allegedly targeting legal immigrants while overlooking Melania’s immigration background.

Crockett criticized the use of the EB-1 visa, known as the “Einstein visa,” which Melania used to enter the U.S. This visa is typically reserved for individuals with extraordinary accomplishments, such as Nobel or Olympic winners.

The congresswoman argued that Melania did not meet those high standards at the time of her application, stating she lacked the level of achievement typically required for such a visa.

She sarcastically compared Melania’s modeling career to supermodels like Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell, suggesting her qualifications were not extraordinary enough for the EB-1. “It doesn’t take an Einstein to see that the math ain’t mathin’ here,” Crockett added.

Online, many are echoing Crockett’s concerns, calling out the contradiction of Trump’s tough stance on immigration while being married to two immigrant women.

One Reddit user commented on the “profound hypocrisy” of Trump’s anti-immigrant rhetoric, while another imagined the backlash if a Democratic figure had a similar personal background.

Despite growing public debate, the White House has not responded to the questions surrounding Melania’s visa.
