Hacker group Anonymous fires another
Hacker group Anonymous has issued a stern warning to President Donald Trump following escalating violence in Los Angeles linked to immigration raids. After U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) launched crackdowns on undocumented immigrants, riots broke out across the city, resulting in over 40 arrests and injuries to civilians, including a journalist and photographer. Anonymous has accused Trump of deliberately inciting chaos in California and has taken to social media to share critical posts and screenshots supporting their claims. They also mocked comments made by Vice President Kamala Harris, suggesting her warnings about Trump’s use of military force were accurate all along.
In response to the unrest, Trump praised the deployment of the National Guard on Truth Social, blaming local officials and declaring his actions saved Los Angeles from being “obliterated.” Anonymous countered with viral posts, including a video appearing to show LAPD officers violently restraining a resident, captioned “LAPD when they think no one is looking.” This is not the first time Anonymous has targeted Trump. In 2024, they warned of a dangerous alliance between Trump, Elon Musk, and others, accusing them of undermining democracy through backdoor deals and unchecked influence over government functions.
