Everyone is pointing out major issue as Trump
Donald Trump’s new smartphone, the “T1 Phone,” and its accompanying mobile service, Trump Mobile, have stirred controversy online, with many calling it a scam. Priced at \$499 with a \$47.45 monthly plan, the gold-colored device is part of a patriotic “America First” push, boasting U.S.-based manufacturing and customer service. Trump’s sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, claimed it’s built for “real Americans” and promised top-quality service. However, early users have reported problems, including billing errors during pre-orders. Critics fear the phone could breach privacy or be misused for political messaging without consent.
Concerns have also been raised over potential conflicts of interest, with international commenters saying such a move by a sitting president wouldn’t be tolerated in their countries. One Reddit user noted the Trump Mobile website includes a disclaimer stating the phone is not directly developed or sold by the Trump Organization, but rather through a licensed agreement with T1 Mobile LLC. Many believe the phone is just another money-making venture under Trump’s name and see it as a troubling blend of business and politics. UNILAD has contacted the White House for a statement on the issue.
