Donald Trump sparks another conspiracy theory about assassination attempt after internet sleuths spot major ‘clue’
Social media users are once again speculating about the authenticity of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. Theories have resurfaced after new images showed his ear appearing fully healed, despite having been grazed by a bullet during a 2024 campaign rally.
Trump, who was wearing his signature MAGA hat in recent photos, acknowledged to the press that his ear still experiences occasional throbbing. During the July 2024 rally in Pennsylvania, a gunman opened fire, killing one person and critically injuring two others. Trump was hit by a bullet that grazed his ear.
The shooter, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, was shot and killed by the Secret Service after firing an AR-15-style rifle. Trump was immediately protected and treated for the injury, which was confirmed at the time by medical professionals and the FBI.
Now, online conspiracy theorists are examining before-and-after photos of Trump’s ear, claiming the cartilage looks undamaged and suggesting the attack was staged. One post stated, “Ear cartilage generally does NOT regrow,” fueling skepticism.
Others pushed back, pointing out that advanced medical procedures could easily repair such damage. Some noted that plastic surgery or natural healing could explain the ear’s current appearance.
Former White House doctor Ronny Jackson said the wound caused significant bleeding and swelling but was healing well, with no need for stitches. He confirmed ongoing minor bleeding due to the ear’s vascular nature.
Critics of the conspiracy theories stressed the medical and forensic confirmations, dismissing the claims as baseless and misleading.
