Donald Trump reveals the four golden rules

Donald Trump, father of five, recently shared his four key parenting rules during a rare discussion about family life on the political podcast Pod Force One. Speaking with host Miranda Devine, Trump outlined the core values he instills in his children: no drugs, no alcohol, no cigarettes, and ideally, no tattoos. While he admits he’s softer on the tattoo rule, he remains firm about substance use, repeating the message to his children consistently over the years. He credits this strict stance to the tragic experience of losing his older brother, Fred Trump Jr., to alcoholism in 1981—a loss that deeply shaped his views.

Trump’s children include Donald Jr., Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany, and his youngest, Barron, who is 19. Although some of them have had alcohol in the past, none are known for heavy drinking. Donald Jr. has quit drinking, Tiffany is now a new mother, and Eric says he drinks rarely. Barron, still underage, reportedly doesn’t drink. Trump himself has always lived a sober lifestyle and continues to emphasize these values within his family, citing his brother’s life as a cautionary tale.
