Donald Trump launches scathing attack after new poll
Donald Trump has criticized Fox News after a recent poll showed lukewarm approval ratings for his performance since returning to office as the 47th U.S. president in January. The poll revealed that only 46% of Americans approve of his immigration policies, while 53% disapprove. On foreign policy, just 43% gave their approval, with 57% disapproving. Even Trump’s handling of the economy and inflation—once strengths during his first term—received underwhelming responses. The poll’s release follows weeks of public discontent, protests, and controversies surrounding new policies like his “Big Beautiful Bill” and rising Middle East tensions.
In response, Trump took to Truth Social, calling the poll “fake” and accusing Fox News of long-standing bias. He claimed their pollsters are “incompetent” and that their data has consistently underestimated his support. Trump emphasized that border security is stronger than ever, noting that far fewer people crossed compared to when Joe Biden was in office. Despite his criticism, the Fox News poll did show 53% of respondents approve of his border security efforts. The survey was based on a nationally selected sample of 1,003 registered voters.
