Donald Trump has blunt response after eye
Donald Trump’s approval rating has declined for five straight months, reaching a historic low of 38% according to a Quinnipiac University poll released on June 11. This marks the lowest rating for a U.S. president in 80 years. Since beginning his second term, Trump has made controversial policy changes, including stricter immigration enforcement, higher tariffs, and efforts to reduce Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. The public’s response to his handling of key issues such as the economy, the Ukraine-Russia conflict, and immigration has been largely negative, with just 34% supporting his Ukraine strategy and 38% approving of his trade approach.
Despite the falling numbers, Trump appeared undeterred, posting on Truth Social on June 18 that his poll numbers were “great.” He referenced a more favorable InsiderAdvantage poll showing him with a +10 job approval rating, though critics suggest he may be cherry-picking data. The latest Harvard CAPS/Harris poll from June 16 showed another slight decline to 46%. Trump’s strongest support remains among Republican voters, white males aged 25 to 44, and rural communities, with immigration still his most approved policy area at 49%. Public sentiment on Elon Musk’s involvement in government remains mixed but favorable among Republicans.
