Donald Trump gives ‘nice and wet’ explanation about household appliances and people are seriously confused
Donald Trump, 79, confused many during a press conference in Florida after launching into an unexpected rant about water pressure, dishwashers, and showers.
The former president had just unveiled a new migrant detention facility in the Florida Everglades, controversially nicknamed “Alligator Alcatraz.” Designed to hold around 3,000 migrants, the centre is located in swampy land and surrounded by dangerous animals like alligators and pythons to prevent escape.
After introducing the facility, Trump veered off-topic, recalling an executive order he signed in April to remove water pressure restrictions introduced under Obama and Biden, saying it would “make America’s showers great again.”
Trump has long complained about low water pressure in U.S. homes and returned to the topic, claiming water barely flows from faucets and shower heads due to federal regulations. He said it takes 20 minutes to rinse soap from his hair, calling the situation “horrible.”
He continued his rant by criticizing washing machines for using too little water, saying they provide only a quarter of a bottle’s worth, while “people need ten.” He held up a bottle to demonstrate his point.
Trump then made a strange comment that water “comes down from heaven,” and claimed credit for approving changes to appliances and reintroducing plastic straws, saying paper ones “melt in my mouth.”
Social media reacted quickly, mocking his comments. Some doubted whether Trump had ever done laundry, though a few supported his stance on outdated appliance regulations and poor functionality of modern machines.
