Arnold Schwarzenegger Stuns Talk Show Hosts
Arnold Schwarzenegger surprised The View hosts with a strong message about immigration during a recent interview promoting his Netflix series FUBAR. When asked about his reaction to recent ICE protests and California Governor Gavin Newsom’s response, Arnold reflected on his own immigrant journey. He recalled arriving in the U.S. at 21 with nothing and building a successful life, calling America “the greatest country in the world” and a true “land of opportunity.” He emphasized that immigrants must follow the law and “behave like a guest” when coming to the U.S.
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg pointed out that many immigrants are trying to do things the right way and that some are being unfairly targeted despite having legal status. Arnold clarified that by “behaving like a guest,” he meant respecting the country, following the rules, and avoiding criminal behavior. He stressed that immigrants should contribute positively to their communities and give back to the country through volunteer work and civic engagement. According to him, benefiting from America’s opportunities comes with the responsibility of helping make the nation a better place.
