Meghan Markle fans spot ‘creepy’ detail in newly shared photos with her and Prince Harry

Meghan Markle celebrated Independence Day with a heartfelt Instagram post, though a detail in one photo has drawn humorous attention from fans online.

The Duchess shared a sweet memory of her second date with Prince Harry on July 4, 2016, when he brought her cupcakes. That moment has since become a family tradition with their two children now involved.

In her caption, Meghan wrote: “Our second date was the 4th of July 2016 and H brought me cupcakes to celebrate. Now, all these years later, our two children are in on the tradition.” She wished everyone a joyful holiday.

Among the photos shared, a plate of six cupcakes stood out. Four were decorated with white icing, blueberries, and strawberries, forming faces that fans found unintentionally spooky.

On Reddit, one user remarked the cupcakes resembled “creepy Halloween faces,” while others joked they looked like snowmen or geese, though Meghan clearly meant for them to be festive.

Three of the cupcakes featured a swirl of red, white, and blue icing and were topped with chocolate peace signs, aligning more with the celebratory theme.

This post follows a video Meghan shared last month of her and Harry doing a “labour dance” before the birth of their daughter Lilibet. While some praised her openness, others labeled it “cringe.” Meghan later said she’s happy to be back on social media, grateful to share content “on [her] own terms,” and unbothered by online criticism.
