Fantastic Four star Julian McMahon die.s aged 56 as wife releases heartbreaking statement

Australian actor Julian McMahon, best known for his roles in Charmed, Nip/Tuck, and Fantastic Four, has died at the age of 56. His wife, Kelly Paniagua, confirmed the news, revealing that he passed away peacefully in Clearwater, Florida, on July 2 after a battle with cancer.

Paniagua released a heartfelt statement, describing McMahon as someone who deeply loved life, his family, friends, work, and fans. She shared that his biggest wish was to bring joy to others and asked for privacy during their time of grief.

McMahon, the son of former Australian Prime Minister William McMahon, rose to fame playing Cole Turner on Charmed and Dr. Christian Troy in Nip/Tuck. He also portrayed the villain Victor Von Doom in Fantastic Four (2005) and its sequel (2007).

More recently, McMahon appeared in FBI: Most Wanted until 2022 and starred in Netflix’s The Residence, which was cancelled after one season. His final film appearance was in The Surfer, co-starring Nicolas Cage and premiering at SXSW in March.

He had been married to Dannii Minogue and Brooke Burns, with whom he had a daughter, Madison. He married Kelly Paniagua in 2014.

Tributes poured in following his death. The streaming platform Stan praised his lasting impact on colleagues, especially through The Surfer.

Producer Robert Connolly and actor Nicolas Cage also honored him, calling McMahon a gifted actor and a kind, intelligent man who brought depth and passion to every performance.
