Donald Trump made savage dig at Meghan Markle when asked if he’d deport Prince Harry
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the U.S., amid growing political tension over immigration policies under Donald Trump, who has ramped up deportation efforts. Despite controversy, Harry will not face deportation.
There have been major protests against ICE and Trump’s immigration policies, including incidents of police violence. Amid this unrest, Trump clarified he has no plans to deport Prince Harry.
Questions about Harry’s immigration status arose after his 2023 memoir Spare, where he admitted to using drugs like cocaine, cannabis, and psychedelics. This led the Heritage Foundation to demand the release of his visa records.
Despite pressure, Trump stated he won’t pursue deportation, saying, “I don’t want to do that.” He added that Harry has “enough problems with his wife,” referring critically to Meghan.
Trump has publicly criticized Meghan in the past, calling her “nasty” after she opposed his presidency and supported Hillary Clinton. He later claimed he was referring to her comments, not her character.
However, Trump has tried to soften his image, later describing Meghan as “very nice” and blaming the media for twisting his words. He said he doesn’t actually know her personally.
Recently, Harry and Meghan sparked backlash for sharing a video of Meghan dancing during childbirth, drawing criticism from the public and media figures alike. Despite ongoing controversy, the couple remains in the U.S.
