Truth about Melania Trump’s visa has people calling the president a ‘hypocrite’ over ‘vicious immigrant campaign’

Melania Trump’s immigration history has come under scrutiny after a Democratic lawmaker criticized her visa during a congressional hearing.

Representative Jasmine Crockett of Texas raised concerns during a June 25 House Judiciary Committee session, questioning whether Melania received special treatment when obtaining her EB-1 visa, commonly known as the “Einstein visa.”

The EB-1 visa is typically reserved for individuals with extraordinary achievements, such as Nobel Prize winners, Olympic medalists, or others recognized as top performers in their fields. Crockett suggested that Melania, a model at the time, did not meet those criteria.

Crockett challenged her Republican colleagues’ commitment to immigration integrity, highlighting the Trump administration’s harsh deportation policies while pointing out what she views as a double standard regarding the First Lady.

Melania Trump became a U.S. citizen in 2006, but Crockett argued her modeling career wasn’t comparable to globally renowned figures like Tyra Banks or Naomi Campbell. She remarked, “It doesn’t take an Einstein to see that the math ain’t mathin’ here.”

Social media reacted strongly, with many supporting Crockett’s comments and accusing Donald Trump of hypocrisy. They pointed out the contradiction between his anti-immigration stance and the foreign origins of his wives.

Some users criticized Trump’s immigration policies as overly harsh, questioning why someone like Melania would be treated differently. Jokes and sarcastic remarks about unequal enforcement of immigration laws also circulated online in response to the controversy.
