Donald Trump has made his feelings clear on Conor McGregor as shocking Ibiza nightclub fight video emerges
Donald Trump’s admiration for Conor McGregor has resurfaced after a video of the former UFC champion punching a man in an Ibiza nightclub went viral. The altercation involved Wayne Lineker’s friend, Joe Gomez, though the cause remains unclear. In response to the backlash, McGregor posted on social media to explain his Ibiza trip and included a photo of himself meeting Trump at the White House. This prompted renewed interest in Trump’s earlier comments about McGregor.
During a St. Patrick’s Day meeting in March with Irish Taoiseach Michael Martin, Trump praised McGregor, calling him a great fighter with “the best tattoos” and highlighting Ireland’s history of producing strong and passionate fighters. Later, McGregor visited the White House, even holding a press conference in the official press room. However, the meeting sparked criticism, as it came months after a Dublin civil court found McGregor liable for assaulting Nikita Hand in a 2018 incident. Though McGregor denied the rape allegation, he was ordered to pay over €248,000 in damages.
