Elon Musk makes major U-turn as he breaks

Elon Musk has backtracked on his recent criticisms of Donald Trump, admitting on X that he “went too far” with some of his posts. The fallout began after Musk stepped down from his role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), initially thanking Trump for the opportunity. However, things quickly turned sour as Musk began criticizing Trump’s latest spending bill, calling it wasteful and contradictory to the DOGE mission. He even labeled the bill a “disgusting abomination,” sparking a public exchange with Trump, who expressed disappointment in Musk’s remarks.

The tension escalated when Musk claimed Trump was mentioned in the Epstein files, a statement that, while technically true, did not imply wrongdoing. Musk’s post drew attention, but he later expressed regret for the harsh tone of his comments. Meanwhile, Trump ignored the Epstein remark and defended his bill, calling it one of the greatest ever introduced to Congress, touting major spending cuts and tax reductions. He dismissed Musk’s change of stance, saying he should have voiced opposition earlier, and reiterated his belief that the bill would help restore America’s financial strength.
