Greta Thunberg responds to Donald Trump after he weighed
Greta Thunberg has responded to U.S. President Donald Trump after he mocked her recent interception by Israeli forces, calling her a “strange” and “angry person” who should take “anger management classes.” Thunberg was part of an aid mission en route to Gaza when Israeli forces stopped their boat in international waters. She and 11 other activists were deported to France and later sent to Sweden. In a pre-recorded video, Thunberg claimed they were “kidnapped” by Israeli forces, while Israel’s Foreign Ministry dismissed the incident as a “media provocation.” Trump also brushed off her allegations, saying Israel has “enough problems without kidnapping Greta Thunberg.”
After landing in France, Thunberg countered Trump’s comments by saying the world needs “more young angry women,” especially during such global crises. She reaffirmed that she never recognized any illegal entry into Israel, claiming they were forcibly taken there. Thunberg explained the group’s mission was to break the Gaza blockade and deliver humanitarian aid amid what she called a “livestreamed genocide.” She emphasized the importance of standing in solidarity with Gaza’s people and condemned global inaction, saying, “Doing nothing can never be an option.” Israel continues to strongly deny any claims of genocide.
