Hugh Laurie, renowned for his roles in Blackadder and House, was recently spotted walking his dog, looking relaxed yet bundled up in a navy sweater, blue hat, and black slacks. The 62-year-old actor-director is promoting his new miniseries, Why Didn’t They Ask Evans?, based on Agatha Christie’s 1934 novel.
Laurie not only directs but also stars as psychotherapist Dr. James Nicholson. Will Poulter and Lucy Boynton lead the cast as amateur sleuths Bobby Jones and Lady Frances Derwent, with Emma Thompson and Jim Broadbent portraying aristocratic parents.
A longtime Christie fan, Laurie shared his excitement for adapting the intriguing mystery, calling it a “dream project.”
