Khyree Jackson, a recently drafted Minnesota Vikings cornerback, tragically died in a car accident early Saturday morning at age 24. A speeding Infiniti struck the Dodge Charger Jackson was in, causing it to veer off the road and hit tree stumps. Jackson, the driver Hazel, and their friend Anthony Lytton Jr. were all killed.
Hours before his death, Jackson shared a final Instagram post with photos from his life, including moments from Vikings practice and time with friends. Known for his infectious energy, Jackson had played for Fort Scott Community College, the Oregon Ducks, and the Alabama Crimson Tide before being drafted in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
The Vikings expressed their sorrow and support for Jackson’s family and teammates. Coach Kevin O’Connell praised Jackson’s dedication and positive impact on the team. The police are investigating the accident.
