The Worst Error on Wheel of Fortune

Contestant Matt recently made a huge mistake on Wheel of Fortune but still won $23,350. In one round, the category was “people,” and the answer was “THE NEXT GENERATION.” Matt guessed “The Best Buttercut,” which had no “N.” The audience was amused, but the correct answer was clear.

Other Notable Mistakes

Matt isn’t alone in making errors on the show. In 2017, contestant Kevin misread “A STREETCAR NA_ED DESIRE” as “A STREETCAR NAKED DESIRE” instead of “A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE.” In 2009, Lolita McAuley guessed “SELF-POTATO” for “SELF-PORTRAIT.” Julian, a University of Indiana student in 2014, mispronounced “Achilles” and guessed “On-the-spot dicespin” instead of “On-the-spot decision.”

These mistakes are part of what makes Wheel of Fortune entertaining. Do you think Matt’s error was as bad as the others? Share your thoughts in the comments!
