Supercomputer Predicts the Future of Humanity on Earth

AI and Supercomputer Climate Analysis

Recently, scientists used AI and a supercomputer to analyze extensive data on Earth’s climate, studying ocean chemistry, tectonic plates, and the biology of living organisms. The goal was to understand factors impacting our survival on Earth.

Concerning Findings and Future Challenges

The findings indicate that humanity’s end is far in the future, offering some relief. However, challenges lie ahead. One significant obstacle is the movement of tectonic plates. Eventually, these plates will form a supercontinent called Pangaea Ultima, creating a harsh environment due to the continentality effect, a hotter sun, and increased CO2 levels.

Harsh Future Environment

This convergence will result in widespread temperatures of 40 to 50 degrees Celsius, with even greater extremes and high humidity. Such conditions will make it difficult for humans and other mammals to cool their bodies through sweat. Only about 16% of the land will be habitable for mammals, posing a monumental challenge for adaptation.

Time to Act

Pangaea Ultima won’t form for another 250 million years. Despite this, we must address the current climate crisis caused by greenhouse gas emissions. Achieving net-zero emissions is crucial for a brighter future for ourselves and future generations.
