An Unconventional Love Story
In 2021, 37-year-old Brazilian woman Meirivone Rocha Moraes married a rag doll named Marcelo, crafted by her mother to alleviate her loneliness. What began as a creative solution blossomed into a unique love story. “It was love at first sight,” Meirivone recalls, describing Marcelo as the ideal partner who “did not fight with her, did not argue, and completely understood her.”
Marriage and Celebration
To solidify their bond, Meirivone and Marcelo held a wedding attended by 250 guests. “It was a wonderful day for me, very important, very emotional,” she said. The couple then honeymooned in Rio de Janeiro, enjoying the city’s beaches and nightlife, marking the start of their life as spouses.
A New Addition to the Family
In a surprising twist, Meirivone claimed to be pregnant by Marcelo. She gained four pounds and “gave birth” to a baby rag doll, Marcela, after a 35-minute painless labor, live-streamed to 200 viewers. “It felt like I was living in a dream,” she said. The birth was celebrated with friends and family.
Life as a Family
Meirivone describes her life with Marcelo and their baby rag doll as fulfilling. “He’s a man I always wanted in my life,” she explains. Despite Marcelo not working, Meirivone feels blessed by his loyal and understanding nature. Their days are filled with joy, family gatherings, and cherished memories.
This story, while unusual, highlights the power of love and imagination in finding happiness.
